Indian captain Rohit Sharma breaks the  record for smashing most sixes in International cricket on Wednesday against Afganistan in World Cup 2023. He left Chris Gayle behind who has the previous record for smashing 553 sixes in 551 International innings . 

Afganistan made 272 runs with eight wickets down in his 50 overs. Afganistan’s captain Hashmatullah Shahidi contributes 80 runs as the highest score in 88 balls . Jasprit Bumrah adds four more wickets to his number ,while Hardik beg two wickets followed by Kulddep and Shardul with one wicket each .

Rohit Sharma now leads the world record for most number of sixes in the history of cricket and played a fire innings against Afganistan and leading team India for his second win in this tournament. Sharma hits 554 sixes in the International Cricket and now creates a new record for smashing most sixes.

In the match against Afganistan in Delhi  Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan comes to open for India and with the third six from Rohit’s bat he acheive this milestone. A good news for India captain Rohit comes in form with duck in first match against Australia.

Sharma’s remarkable achievement solidifies his reputation as one of the most dynamic and aggressive batsmen in the world of international cricket, and he continues to be a potent force for Team India across formats.
